THE DAVID PEACE PRIZE
The David Peace Prize is endowed by a bequest from the estate of the late Dr David Peace MBE and a bursary from his family. David Peace, an early member of the Guild of Glass Engravers, Past Chairman and President, was noted for his lettering on glass. He believed in encouraging new talent in glass – not only in the field of lettering, but also figurative and abstract artists.
The Guild of Glass Engravers is eager to find new talent and encourage new ideas on glass. To this end we are holding a competition for students currently studying on a UK glass or mixed media course, and new engravers who have participated in a glass engraving course within the last two years.
