The Guild of Glass engravers is the only organisation in the UK specifically dedicated to the art of glass engraving.
Membership is worldwide and open to anyone interested in engraved glass, from the most skilled and experienced engravers to those whose interest is purely appreciative.
We are a registered charity, funded entirely through members’ subscriptions and by donations.

The Guild of Glass Engravers offers membership at a number of levels. All members join the Guild as Lay Members, whether or not they practise glass engraving, and many choose to stay as Lay Members.
Members may choose to move through the Guild as their engraving skills develop, applying first for Craft Membership and then to be elected as an Associate Fellow. These processes involve submitting work to be assessed by senior members of the Guild. The highest level of membership is Fellow who earn the right to use FGE after their name.
“Student Membership” is a special class of membership and is FREE for anyone on a full-time glass course. You may become a Lay member at the end of your course if you wish.

If you are interested in engraved glass but membership isn’t for you, consider making a one-off donation. Every penny we receive helps us preserve and promote the practise of glass engraving.
