Trained at Chelsea College of Art & Design and Central Saint Martins, British artist Lucy Alexandra Batt has been creating luxurious glass artworks since 2004 for collectors, interior designers and discerning clients. The interplay of hand-engraved styling and layers of luminous high gloss colour are central to her work. The artist is fascinated with the sentimental essence of nostalgic and romantic items, and uses these emotions to inspire her impeccable designs. Lucy Batt also works to commission on exclusive projects for marine, commercial and residential clients. Large scale commissions are undertaken with the support of specialist architectural glass studios in the UK and Germany. Handmade in England, each vessel artwork is created in collaboration between the artist and a selection of the UK’s most talented glass blowers including Charlie Macpherson.
