The Guild provides an insight into contemporary Glass Engraving. It aims to promote the highest standards of glass engraving.The website contains techniques, a gallery of members engraved glass, where to see it and where to learn to engrave.

Brian Porter
Harrogate, N Yorks
Commenced training at the School of Art, Stourbridge in 1951, from there he studied at Foley College, Stourbridge, specialising in glass design and decoration. Attending The Royal College of Art in London from 1959 to 1962, Brian was awarded an honours degree in Industrial Glass Design. Since the late sixties, Brian continued working in the art, both through painting and engraved glass. Brian has had many exhibitions of both mediums and has glass in private collections in the UK, Australia and America. An Associate Fellow of The Guild of Glass Engravers, Brian concentrates largely on the oldest form of engraving (copperwheel), he also utilises stippling and handheld drill techniques.
