About my Work:
I express both playfulness as well as other contrasting emotional states through my glass work, by using a kitschy aesthetic, which is inspired by Kidult toy culture.
The glass dolls in my artwork ‘Nobody knows what the problem really is’ visualise my hidden emotions that are caused by social pressure and microaggression from everyday interactions in the UK as an Asian minority female.
The images on each glass of the doll are hand-cut onto vinyl, sandblasted and then finally engraved.
