They are suitable for engravers or first-timers of any ability. there is masses of individual tuition from Tracey Sheppard, Fellow and President of the Guild of Glass Engravers, so that everyone can progress at a comfortable pace. There are also lots of demonstrations from the tutor! There is normally a project set at the beginning of the year and some of the students choose to pursue it in depth.

Classes take place on alternate Tuesdays running for four hours from 11.20am to 3.20pm. For dates of courses this year please click on the link above.

Morley College, Westminster Bridge, London
Morley courses provide a rare opportunity to learn glass engraving on coloured and colour overlaid glass. Several different engraving techniques are explored, using drill and or the lathe. Courses focus on the many options that working on colour provide for the artist engraver, whether working on flat glass (of interest to stained glass artists) or blown forms. Those who have already attended classes in glass engraving may find this an interesting extension to their skills and beginners may find it just as diverting.

See Morley website for details of courses.
