I finished school in 1984 and went to college to study art. I began as an apprentice with Waterford Crystal in 1985 and joined the Guild of Glass Engravers in the early 90s. I qualified as a Master Engraver with Waterford in 1995. I have a National Certificate in Glass Technology and have travelled extensively to learn about glass to all major glass centres in the world. While working for Waterford I have engraved portraits, limited editions, trophies, collectors pieces and commissioned works. I was elected an Associate Fellow of the Guild in 2004 and also set up my own studio. I launched my website in 2005 and joined the Crafts Council of Ireland.
I have completed portaits of Mike and David Ellikson commissioned by their families as memorials, Roman Romance and Parisian Painter inspired by the Cities for Collectors and commemorative pieces featuring Joey Dunlop and Michael Schuhmacher.
