Commissions Undertaken?
My name is Justin Lawson, I am a drill glass engraver. I discovered the art during a difficult time in my life and the escapism that it gave me coupled with the sheer beauty of what I could create spurred me on to bigger and greater things. Whilst many glass engravers choose to mix drill engraving and sandblasting, my work is entirely drill engraved as this enables me to incorporate multiple self taught techniques that help me to create completely original one off pieces.

I have a real passion for large scale wildlife engravings, the technique I use means that a finished engraving will contains hundreds of thousands of single engraved lines.

I have also developed a technique that allows me to hand engrave portraits with a high degree of detail usually not found in glass portraits.

I engrave on a commission basis but also produce pieces for exhibitions that are for sale. I am happy to engrave all commissions from the very simple to the complex.

I am also available for engraving in store for events, some of my previous clients have been Selfridges, Jack Daniels, Christian Dior & Bombay Sapphire.

Engraving Techniques
My engraving techniques are drill engraving with diamond burs and polishing wheels.
