The Guild provides an insight into contemporary Glass Engraving. It aims to promote the highest standards of glass engraving.The website contains techniques, a gallery of members engraved glass, where to see it and where to learn to engrave.

Aileen Asher
Ballindalloch Morayshire

Born & brought up in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Aileen learned Sandblasting techniques in Crieff from Stuart Strathearn & was taught the Art of Hand Engraving Glass by the late Artist Andrew Lawson Johnston in Strathdon from 1982 – 1990.

 Aileen has since March 2015 decided to continue her glass engraving as a hobby only, having worked from her home in Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands, where with Artistic flair & imagination she created one-off pieces of Hand Engraving since 2008 .  Throughout that years she has exhibited with Creative Cairngorms & The Cairngorms Farmers Market in The Cairngorm National Park & surrounding areas. Along with  bringing Glass Engraving to a local After School Group & local SWRI Groups



Aileen became a Craft Member with The Guild of Glass Engravers in May, 2009.
