Born & brought up in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, Aileen learned Sandblasting techniques in Crieff from Stuart Strathearn & was taught the Art of Hand Engraving Glass by the late Artist Andrew Lawson Johnston in Strathdon from 1982 – 1990.

She welcomes commissions for Inscriptions as Wedding Gifts, Birthdays, etc., Dog Portraits and is happy to try and design any one-off challenges.  She has done a range of past commissions which include portraits & buildings, with private collections in Europe, Australia & India.    

Aileen works now from her home in Tomintoul, the highest village in the Highlands, where with Artistic flair & imagination she creates one-off pieces of Hand Engraving which can be admired & purchased in local Art & Gift Shops.  Throughout the year she exhibits with Creative Cairngorms in The Cairngorm National Park & surrounding areas. www.creativecairngorms.co.uk.
