The Stourbridge Branch is a small, friendly group holding regular workdays at the Red House Glass Cone, High St., Wordsley, in the heart of the Stourbridge glass quarter.

We meet to work on our engraving together, and from time to time have visiting expert tutors or visits to places of interest.

The Branch has had a quiet summer over the holiday period.  Unfortunately we have had to cancel out meeting on Sat 13th Sept due to lack of people able to attend.

Sadly, we have recently lost Kevin Andrews who passed away at the beginning of September.  He was a talented copper wheel engraver, teacher and a stalwart supporter of the Stourbridge Branch, of which he was a Friend.

Kevin had worked in the Stourbridge glass industry for many years before going on to teach engraving at the International Glass Centre in Brierley Hill.  He was enthusiastic, generous and always willing to share his knowledge.  We shall miss him very much.

Our next workday will be on Sat 15th November.

Meetings are held at the Red House Glass Cone, High St., Wordsley, Stourbridge, from 10.30 – 3.30.  New members and visitors are always welcome. Please get in touch for further details.

The workday dates for the rest of the year are:
Sat   7   Feb 2015
Sat   4  April 2015 (AGM)
