The South West Branch is getting ready for its exhibition at the Wells and Mendip Museum in Wells in Somerset. This will be open to the public from Monday 19 August until Saturday 31 August. It's a great venue with a superb view over the Cathedral Green. Wells is a beautiful little city with lots of historical interest so we are hoping lots of people come.
We had a very interesting outing at the end of March to see Steve Bradley's glass blowing workshop and we had a go at blowing little items ourselves as well as enjoying watching a master at work.
On Sunday 23 June we are holding our AGM and trouble shooting day plus bring and share lunch at our new regular venue of West Buckland Village Hall near Wellington in Somerset. All welcome. The glass engravers of the South West Branch continue to have a great deal of fun while learning new techniques and giving practical and moral support to each other.
Our branch is renowned for its friendliness and all Guild members are welcome to join us to enjoy our workshops and partake of the cake which we always seem to have on hand should engraving make us peckish!
June 23rd 2013 - AGM + "Midsummer Madness"
If you are interested in attending a meeting to find out about the branch. Please get in touch for more details.
